The U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency awarded a UA electrical engineering professor $3.2 million in grants for projects in developing eco-friendly ways to power equipment for industrial companies.

The grant allows two projects to run coinciding with each other through the beginning of 2020, with one focusing on circuits in motors and another for battery chargers.
